KITE & WING LESSONS IN LA VENTANA, BCS, MEXICO

Kitesurfers and wingfoilers from places like Hood River, Oregon, Seattle, Washington, San Francisco, California, and more all flock to La Ventana, Baja California Sur, to escape the chill and chase the smooth, welcoming winds, the warm waters, and inviting community.

We teach in Corpus Christi during the summer, but come October, we also make our way here for the prime 15 to 25-knot winds. This allows us to teach kitesurfing year-round in optimal conditions. We love teaching here, and you will love learning and staying here.

Once a sleepy fishing village, La Ventana has blossomed into a kiteboarding and wingboarding paradise, attracting riders of all levels eager to ride in the ideal conditions offered here during the winter months. It always seems to draw us in, year after year, for one reason: it’s pure bliss.

Ideal Conditions for Beginners & Experts Alike

La Ventana features side / side onshore wind that brings you back to the beach downwind from where you started. So, if you’re still learning to stay upwind, you’ll be returned toward shore—making it an ideal spot for beginners.

No need to worry about drifting too far out; the bay has your back. This unique bay allows new kiteboarding students and riders to practice without stress.

During the windy season, the community truly comes alive. You’ll find a mix of new kiters learning the ropes and seasoners who call this their second home and return year after year.
