Welcome to Kite & Wing Academy
Kite & Wing Academy started in Corpus Christi, TX, in 2018, and a second location opened in La Ventana, Mexico, in the fall of 2024.
In 2021, when wingfoiling became popular, we knew we wanted to be part of this exciting new sport, too. Wingfoiling is an exciting new addition that opens up access to wind sports, as it can be practiced in almost any body of water.
Safety is our top priority.
Our team is committed to creating a supportive, safe, and fun environment for all riders—whether you're new to the sport or looking to refine your skills.
All of our instructors are current IKO-certified instructors.
We aim to inspire curiosity, build confidence, and help students learn at their own pace.

Meet Jo & Aaron
We have been traveling the globe for the past 7 years teaching kiting in popular destinations and off-the-beaten Kiteboarding destinations. We are passionate about Kiteboarding and have produced independent Kiteboarders across the world. Many of those students are now friends we kite with when we are in their home kite spot.
A few of our favorite kiteboarding destinations include the Netherlands, Australia, Italy, Turkey, Hood River, Oregon, Everett, WA, and Canada.
During our travels, we found that Corpus Christi offers consistent wind and multiple shallow water bays, which enables the student to progress quickly through the courses compared to deep water locations.
We spend October through April in one of our favorite places: La Ventana, B.C.S., Mexico. La Ventana is renowned for its consistent winds, warm waters, and welcoming community.
